Houston sMILES started with a simple idea: create a space where people could move, connect, and genuinely feel like they belong.
What grew from those weekly miles became something much bigger — friendships, service, support, laughter, and a community that continues to show up for one another and for Houston.

HOW IT STARTED
It started with a few friends, a few miles, and a simple idea — let’s get together and move.
There was no big plan behind it. Just people showing up, running and walking together, encouraging one another, and enjoying the connection that came with it.
Week after week, more people joined. New friendships formed, familiar faces became family, and those Wednesday miles grew into the Houston sMILES community we know today.
What started with miles became so much more. 🧡

Macy, Jensie, Brittany, and Jorge have been here since the beginning – back when sMILES was simply a group of people getting together to run, connect and have a good time.
As the miles grew, so did the community and the vision. Together, they’ve helped shape sMILES into a place built ion friendship. movement, giving back and always making room for one more.
